the foundations

"hm... let's not delve too deep on this one."my name is encythe [pronounced en-sithe /'ɛn.saɪð/], and i'm a 17-year-old male from finland.
i heavily lack interest in gender, so call me by whatever you want.
i regularly play the following games:
   > roblox
   > tetr.io [i'm even #1 in finland!]
but i've also played the following:
   > deltarune [seriously, toby fox is awesome]
   > minecraft
   > tunic
i swear a lot, even when trying to make an effort not toi play and make music in my free time, which you can find in the spotify artist profile or online sequencer links in the concourse
of course, there are no recordings of me playing the piano that i'm willing to share... yet.
i have adhd with a hint of procrastination and might completely crash when overloaded
also, my personality type is isfp-t??? still trying to figure out if that’s a win or an error code
i handle being jumpscared by internally panicking, not screaming

# enjoyments
i'm a huge star glitcher and murder drones fan
super avid melodic trance or just trance music genre enjoyer

"here's some of my typing quirks!"
- i use square brackets in place of parentheses [parentheses are for cowards]
- i still use proper apostrophe placement even when typing in all lowercase
- i tend to overcomplicate sentences to the extent that an average english learner might not understand me
- i occasionally use programmer terms in place of standard speech... probably
- i tend to blurt out the most random shit ever from my mind, confusing everyone in the chatroom
- when i use terms like "ur" or shorthands for longer phrases like "idk", i'm usually being sarcastic, unless it’s in a time-sensitive situation where typing the longer version would take too long

sleep polarity

"rest is... complicated, apparently."first of all, let's define sleep polarity.
sleep polarity is my self-coined phenomenon regarding your internal circadian rhythm, or similarly, sleep schedule.
to better understand things, let's coin two new terms:
- dayphase
      > time of the current day between 6:00 am and 5:59 pm [or 06:00 - 17:59]
- nightphase
      > time of the current day between 6:00 pm and 5:59 am [or 18:00 - 05:59]
there are currently five defined states of sleep polarity, those being:
- regular
      > your sleep begins during nightphase, and ends during the following dayphase
- inverted
      > your sleep begins during dayphase, and ends during the following nightphase
- dayshifted
      > your sleep begins and ends during the same dayphase
- nightshifted
      > your sleep begins and ends during the same nightphase
- the fuck
      > none of the above apply and your sleep is fucked
initial comment
now that we have outlined our terms, let's get to how my sleep polarity flips every week or two.
because of my absolute, hot garbage, dumpster fire of a sleep schedule [or lack thereof], my sleep tends to shift forward by +01:00 or +02:00 each day.
this means that my sleep polarity flips about once every 6 - 12 days.
"that can't be healthy for you!", you say?
no shit dude, i'm desynced for an entire week from natural circadian rhythm
[18/11/2025]
i'm working on fixing this at the moment
it's not necessarily a guarantee, but it seems to be working
[19/01/2026]
okay wow

Feel free to draw them with the provided .RBXM files.
I really want to see the art of my creations, so if you have made one, email me at [email protected]!

ENCYTHE, THE ARCHMAGE

15/03/2023 - PRESENT DAY

This is Encythe, and he is the main character I portray myself to be at the moment. He is an archmage proficient in ice magic, and cracks at TETR.IO... probably.
No art is needed, but feel free to draw him anyway!

Viosinth

ALSO KNOWN AS VIOLET

13/01/2026 - PRESENT DAY

Based on the Encythe character, just with enormous antlers in place of horns and a purple color scheme. Prefers being called by their nickname over their actual name.Does not explicitly specialize in magic, but dresses like a mage for the "aura" metric, whatever that's supposed to mean.He prefers using a bow over anything else, but doesn't necessarily carry one around, instead conjuring one when needed. They don't live in the Transmortem, but visit often to provide company for its residents ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
I don't care if you draw him but honestly the design seems cool so please do

NON-CANON

This character does not officially reside in the Transmortem universe.

FRAGILISTIC

This character's background, design, information, and "lore" are fragile and can change at will.

FROG_PLINKO, THE PARKOURIST

12/02/2022 - PRESENT DAY

Here's frog_plinko, a literal manifestation of a frog plinko, from the events of 2021.Really good at obbies. That's the only good characteristic.
Needs dedicated art.

HEXONIR, THE SWORDFIGHTER

ALSO KNOWN AS HEX

17/10/2025 - PRESENT DAY

One of my more recent creations. He specializes in swordfighting and carries a sword and some utilities in his tailbags when he leaves his house. He's also very fluffy, but still human.
This characteristic often leads people to mistake him for a "furry."
FOR FUCKS SAKE DUDE, DO PEOPLE NOT GET THE DIFFERENCE???
No art is needed, but feel free to draw him anyway!

DARKENIUM, THE SHADOWMANCER

02/01/2023 - 15/03/2023

That over there is Darkenium, whose name literally sounds like an ore.His design went through two revisions before I settled on this one. He's a basic mage specializing in shadow magic and has talked with a past version of himself, who, speaking of...
Needs dedicated art.

LEGACY DARKENIUM, THE SHADOW

19/08/2021 - 02/01/2023

Lost to time is Legacy Darkenium. The sole reason why I, as the one beyond this world, had the most significant breakdown in my entire life back in 2022. They're now located in the FORGOTTEN VOID of Difficulty Upgrade Tree, never to be found again.Never bring this character up to me, I'm only putting this here for archival purposes.
Does not need dedicated art.

CELESTIASTRA, THE GALACTIC DEITY

03/10/2023 - UNKNOWN, LAST SIGHTING IN 2024

Celestiastra is the divine being in this world. They're the ones who administer the Transmortem.Their role eclipses even my understanding...
Needs dedicated art.

QYROSOAL, THE UNYIELDING FLAME

13/01/2025 - XX/08/2025

The antiverse of Encythe, his doppelganger, so to speak. He practices fighting in battles, mainly using his fists while being assisted by his fiery battleaxe as a tail.
Needs dedicated art.

the atelier

"holy shit, we're actually doing this?"

"well, welcome to the atelier, which according to this dictionary, is a room or building in which an artist works"

this page is part of a recent re-committal to art, and this time, i'm not going to let myself stop me!
he said, confidently, unknowing of the upcoming treachery

this room will work as a blog, where each time he learns something new, or draws something new, i will graciously broadcast information on what he did, including pictures [even if they're bad, relatively speaking]this is still quite a work in progress, so don't get too comfortable with this layout!

Rabbit, WITH some Steel

Wednesday, February 12th, 2026 @ 01:39 AM EET [UTC+2]

I'm going to be semi-unfiltered in this one.
In the evening, I decided I wanted to continue building upon the new rabbit character I made yesterday by giving them a weapon.
I initially had the idea of them kneeling and aiming their bow at an off-screen target.I started playing around with stickman sketches, attempting to get the general shape before I commit to the full drawing. After playing around, however, I realized that most archers actually stand and shoot, not kneel.
[though my reasoning for this was that drawing a standing character is easier, so throw that fact out of the window for me, thanks.]
This drawing actually used a larger canvas compared to the sketch, which I think is important. I don't know how important, but it's important.I then drew the rough position of the character as provided by this awesome reference image I drew:

I'm not kidding.

And yes, I know that the left arm doesn't reach the body of the bow, but I pointed that out with an arrow and some off-screen text.I started the art with the legs, then the dress, arms, and head.Incredibly, after I reached the hair, I didn't want to kill myself again! And even MORE incredibly, I actually split up strands of hair into sections that don't look like shit, at least to me.I then drew the bow that they would be wielding, but I fucked up the layers, so I had to juggle some lineart around layers to cover stuff correctly, and even that isn't perfect. After more drawing, shading, and other shit, I thought the drawing was finished.
Guess what? I ADDED THE BACKSIDE OF THE DRESS, HOLY FUCKING SHIT??? THREE DIMENSIONS EMULATA EED IN TWO DIMENSIOmn
While a minimal change, it puts me in awe that such a simple change can have such a profound effect on the final piece, like what???The arms are a little noodly, but the pose relays the message very well. There's no problem there. This took me the longest out of any piece I've made so far, clocking in at about three or four hours.
Who knew a game such as Rabbit and Steel, which I initially assumed was not a game for me, could have such a profound effect on my artistic journey?

Rabbit but no Steel

Wednesday, February 10th, 2026 @ 11:13 PM EET [UTC+2]

I wanted to keep my drawing momentum by sketching something, but I didn't know what at first. After some thought, a single game came to my mind: Rabbit and Steel. The reason why this game came to mind was due to several factors, in this case:1. I just played the game
I had recently played Rabbit and Steel along with debelopment. We didn't quite beat Extra Mode on Hard, though.
2. The playable characters were memorable
The minimalistic yet expressive design of the rabbits stuck in my mind, and during most gameplay, I wanted to draw one from a reference.
Even though the playable characters stuck with my mind, I used the menu art as my reference, although there isn't much difference. The more basic limbs and the mostly flat 2-dimensional perspective on the characters helped a ton with the sketch. After sketching and writing a bit of this entry, I figured it was a good idea to add some color and shading. After playing around with the color a bit, I figured out a skin color that doesn't immediately look "off". A slightly more pale-white â–  color, and a dark-ish gray â–  for the dress. Afterwards, for the hair, I decided to choose a green color. Before committing to a shade of green, I filled in the hair with a random green â–  that doesn't immediately ruin the sketch. After filling everything in, I tuned in the green â–  I wanted and used the fill bucket to replace the placeholder green with the green I wanted. After some shading, the drawing was finished.A postmortem during the process of the art was that the hair did not immediately destroy my motivation to continue this sketch. It's quite basic, but it really adds life to the sketch. I also noticed that the right leg is a little too wide, but mistakes happen.

Lost Spellbook

Wednesday, February 8th, 2026 @ 03:29 AM EET [UTC+2]

I was motived to draw this night, so I wanted to draw one of my characters for once. However, after I tried to draw my character, Darkenium, I was immediately met with a blockade: My skill in drawing 3-dimensional space is not sufficient.
Heck, I even tried to use a reference of my own character, but two things immediately became apparent:
1. The hair is going to be a nightmare
Every time I finish the body of a character I intend to draw, the realization of having to draw hits me like a bullet train ramming into a brick wall. It really isn't easy.
2. My sense of scale or perspective is completely out of line
It is insanely hard for me to even fathom drawing 3-dimensional art right now. I could try drawing a bunch of cubes at various perspectives to train my skills in that field, but I'd probably rather stick to 2-dimensional for the time being, and that might be a lot simpler.
So, in response to all of this, I decided to draw a pretty empty landscape with nothing but stars in the sky and ripples in the void/water hybrid. After finishing the basic background, I was thinking of what to put within the ripples. [there's just one ripple, though]Initially, I was planning on drawing a character looking up at the stars in awe. Unfortunately, however, I decided that drawing the character in 3-dimensions was a good idea, and it faltered quite quickly. Alas, I was back to square one.Faced with a creative block, I took a glance at my Roblox Studio place that I had open consisting of my characters. Immediately, a mutual key feature between my characters stood out, the spellbook. So, I decided that the main focus of the drawing would be the spellbook which Viosinth and Encythe carry around. [Canonically, however, Viosinth can't read the book.]
After some finishing touches, the drawing was done.
It was seriously annoying and demotivating, but I can't be jumping into something that I don't even know much about and expect to come out victorious. I'll stick to mostly 2-dimensional art from here, and I might prefer drawing bald characters from now on.

There isn't much detail in this drawing, but that's fine, since I'm still learning.

I really wanted to draw a carrot when I got home from school for some reason, so I did just that. I drew a carrot.

The re-commitment

Wednesday, February 4th, 2026 @ 03:38 AM EET [UTC+2]

For the first entry on this blog, I thought it'd be good to mention that I have minimal experience in art, but due to ADHD, my brain can be very creative. The problem, however, is that I am unable to manifest my thoughts and imagination onto a standard piece of paper, or a canvas on a screen using a mouse. Each time I have an imagination that I really want to put on a canvas, I keep thinking to myself: "Oh, that's a pretty cool idea, but of course, I can't manifest it, because I can't draw."So, to prove to myself that I can, in fact, manifest my imaginations into reality, I will commit to art, primarily digital art, and starting from mostly ground zero, then working my way through the rabbit hole that is art.I already have some kind of roadmap for how my journey is going to go, but I've studied some things from jiskin's style, including how art is usually done, in order, at least for her:
"sketch > lineart > base color > extra detail > shading > lighting > small configurations to lineart"
I've managed to study shading, mostly on my own, but with some nudges from jiskin [yes, every person will have a different color] to point me in the right direction. After finishing my learning session, I sent out a message to one of my friends who was also learning art, though undoubtedly more ahead than me:

Encythe

laerned some shading tech [sic]

Funnily enough, I had also figured out that jiskin mostly uses flat colors in their art initially, but then adds shading, highlights, and gradients using various blending methods, like Multiply and Overlay, which is what was done in this image. However, I have not fully understood the correct brightness to use for each blending mode, but this will come later.

Gyropala

oh thats nice
good for you

Very reassuring. That concludes this entry for now, until next time!
